  1. I like your girl with the pearl earing. I think its an awesome recreation. I think the first one is my favorite, but I think that the first two need just a little bit more contrast.

  2. My favorite one is with the hand in front of the camera. I feel like I can relate to it so much cause this is what I'm constantly doing! I wonder if you could sharpen the hand and blur the background. The pearl earring is very nice as well :)

  4. The second photo is a little bit blurry.
The last photo is a really nice recreation of the painting. A little dramatic light would have been nice to see though. :)

  5. I think the one of the girl with the pearl earing looks great you did a good job of recreating the original. I also like the last one of the girl with the books on her head i think the crop looks really interesting.

  7. all are expressive. you might try to get the lights to be a bit lighter to boost contrast. the first image stands out to me because of the sharpness of your eye and the emotion it conveys. the third one also stands out. i think it would be improved with brighter brights.

  8. I really enjoy the first image - it reminds me of all my friends when they tire of me taking their picture and they'll put their hands up to block me, haha. I feel like if you up the contrast in all of these a little it will help them pop. The girl-with-a-peal portrait is a nice recreation =]

  9. 1. Wonderful…maybe try to recreate this with your hand in-focus and put the images side-by-side…might be an interesting comparison

    2. There's this tension that builds up as you look at this image. Your engaging expression, draws you in, but everything's just a touch out of focus…I like it

    3. Kudos on the lighting…I still can't get that down

  10. I love the last one, the expression is priceless. I love the dark background as well. I also like the one with the hands because it's a different way of interpreting what happens when you try to take someone's portrait.

  11. Love the girl with the pearl earring one. It's modern, but definitely is recognizable. The interchange of modern and antique is very interesting and nice.
